The Dr. Shine OXY365 Multi is a 5-litre home oxygen concentrator with a heated, constant-temperature humidifier. A standard concentrator bubbles oxygen through room-temperature water, so on long hours of therapy — especially in dry winter air or air-conditioned rooms — many people end up with a dry nose and throat. The OXY365 Multi warms and humidifies the oxygen before it reaches you: the manufacturer specifies 31–37 °C (close to body temperature) and 28–38 mg/L absolute humidity, held steady regardless of the weather outside.
Warm, humidified oxygen is about comfort and tolerance. It helps keep the nose and throat from drying out, which can make it easier to stay on oxygen for the hours your doctor has prescribed, and the manufacturer states it also helps loosen secretions. An optional pulse-oximeter cable shows your SpO₂ (oxygen saturation) on the machine's own display.
